Recognize the item depicted above?
It’s not simply a funnel. It’s a replacement hopper for a food strainer / sauce maker. If you don’t own a sauce maker, then that may not mean much to you, but if you do, then this should remind you that replacement parts are available.
When we think replacement parts, many are prone to think merely of rubber gaskets, filters, or other parts that tend to wear out through the normal wear and tear of everyday use. Hoppers, on the other hand, would not be something that you would expect to gradually lose their usefulness. The same can be said for other pieces on other small kitchen appliances.
Yet, they can break. An unintentional bang, smash or drop can do them in. Then what do you do? Is it time to discard that once handy appliance? The answer is, “not necessarily.”
There may be replacement parts available for those pieces that break or become lost. A search might be advisable if you wish to contine using an otherwise perfectly usable machine.
